06 Oct White Label Records First Anniversary Celebration Takes Place Next Week
White Label Records celebrates its first anniversary on October 11, 2019.
Without a doubt, White Label Records has always been about music and people, having its roots in #vinyloftheday and Singapore Community Radio. The physical store bridges the gap between digital and real life experience while constantly striving to connect the music community. Bringing them together and providing them with the resources, knowledge and opportunities to create, curate and perform.
So it’s been a year since White Label Records opened their doors at Ann Siang House. To help celebrate this anniversary, fellow community builders and good friends from the Olympic Digger Crew (Bangkok, Thailand) are flying out to share some very special DJ sets at White Label Records.
White Label has also teamed up with Olympic Digger to produce some collaboration merchandise. Check it out below.
First Year Anniversary T-Shirt
The collection is a collaborative effort between White Label Records & Olympic Digger. It focuses particularly on conscious listening and draws inspiration from the book “Be Here Now” by Ram Dass. To explain, Be Here Now is a book on spirituality, yoga and meditation. The book has been described as a “counter-cultural bible” and “seminal” to the era. Evidently it has inspired various people. For example, Steve Jobs and George Harrison. Harrison wrote the song “Be Here Now” in 1971. Then released it on his 1973 album Living In The Material World. This collection translates the experience of the book and celebrates the ethos of White Label Records for its first anniversary. Designed by Mathan Raj.
The t-shirts retail at $59 on event day. Given that they are produced in limited quantity, they will be sold on a first come first serve basis. Lastly, head here for details on the White Label Records First Anniversary event.
