Amsterdam is home to some of the best record stores in the European dance music scene. Packed with enough cuts and wax that have made local DJs into reputable names. DJMag recently put out a list of the best record stores located within Amsterdam. This comes in time for ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event). The event runs from Wed, 16 Oct 2019 through to Sun, 20 Oct 2019. Distortion Records

Mary Go Wild

Mary Go Wild started with a book archiving the 25 year history of Dutch dance music. It has now become an electronic music hub. It isn’t just a store selling records, books and merchandise. Mary Go Wild is also a publisher, record label, and the official ADE shop. They host daily ADE Breakfast Sessions (10am – 2pm) and ADE Radio Sessions (2pm – 8pm). Black Gold

Red Light Records

Red Light Records is a small but well stocked record store located in the heart of Amsterdam’s red light district. Housed in a former prostitution window it can be found behind the gate next to the Red Light Radio studio. They offer a fine selection within genres such as jazz, funk, disco, wave and experimental electronic music. Also specialising in obscure vinyl and rare gems from both new and vintage music styles.
