Slowdive is releasing a limited edition vinyl of their sophomore album Souvlaki.
Souvlaki
Firstly, Slowdive is an English shoegaze band formed in 1989. In detail, the band consists of Nick Chaplin (bass), Rachel Goswell (vocals, guitar), Christian Savill (guitar). Including Neil Halstead (vocals, guitar) Slowdive’s primary songwriter. Souvlaki is Slowdive’s second studio album. So, it has been 25 years since Slowdive released their masterpiece. It was originally out in 1993. Although it didn’t receive much credit during that time.
At the present time, it’s considered as one of the best Shoegaze albums ever to be made. For example, Souvlaki came in number 2 on Pitchfork’s 50 best shoegaze albums of all time. The album contains synthesizer contributions from Brian Eno. In particular the tracks “Sing” (which he co-wrote) and “Here She Comes”. Also included in this release are outstanding tracks “When The Sun Hits” and “Alison”. In conclusion, Souvlaki is multifaceted. Consisting of kaleidoscopic textures, beautiful tones, and odd notes. In any case, listen to ‘Souvlaki Space Station’ below.
