Pink Floyd is releasing an 18-disc box set titled ‘The Later Years‘ on November 29, 2019.
Pink Floyd’s ‘The Later Years’ box set includes 5 CDs, 6 Blu-Rays, 5 DVDs, 2 7” and an exclusive photo book together with memorabilia. It covers the material created by David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright from 1987 through 2019. During this period Pink Floyd generated record sales of over 40 million worldwide.
‘The Later Years’ collection is made up of three studio albums and two live albums. The studio albums are 1987’s A Momentary Lapse of Reason, 1994’s The Division Bell, and 2014’s The Endless River. Coupled with the live albums Delicate Sound of Thunder and Pulse. There is a hypnotic trailer for the box set which we recommend you watching.
It’s amazing to know that A Momentary Lapse of Reason has been “updated” with additional contributions from late keyboardist Richard Wright. Also Nick Mason has newly recorded the drum tracks in order to “restore the creative balance between the three Pink Floyd members.”
The Later Years box set contains 13 hours of unreleased audio and accompanying visual content. This includes the 1989 Venice and 1990 Knebworth concerts, commercially available for the first time.
