26 Nov Open Air Parade by Alessandro Alessandroni finally gets a reissue on vinyl
Earlier this year, SONOR Music Editions gave a hint on a new reissue, Alessandro Alessandroni’s definitive holy grail, Open Air Parade. The label has finally announced the release date of this elusive Italian library gem. It will be out specifically on November 28, 2019, together with a reissue from one of his frequent collaborators Giuliano Sorgini. Photo credit : M.Courtney-Clarke

To explain a little more about Alessandro Alessandroni, he was an Italian musician and composer. A multi-instrumentalist above all. Alessandroni successfully tamed both the guitar and piano amongst many other instruments. Well he did it in an undeniably graceful manner. All things considered, his legacy still lives on through the various film scores and countless library music he has produced.
In essence, Open Air Parade can be described as a dreamy album. Particularly filled with the most top-notch, strung-out Psychedelic Funk sounds ever recorded in Italy. Including two tracks performed by legendary bassist, Giovanni Tommaso. It was originally released in 1972 on the mythical SR Records. Unquestionably just like most SR albums, the original is now a highly sought-after gem by record collectors all over the world. Surely the best library record by Alessandroni. As a matter of fact, you can even listen to a sampler of Open Air Parade here.
Alessandro Alessandroni’s Open Air Parade is being reissued in a limited edition run with only 500 copies available worldwide. In other words, do not miss out on this release! It is one that will blow your mind away. Head here without delay to pre-order your copy. Also do check out the artwork and track list below.
