Dekadance History

Howeverthe band gave the title Dekadance to two separate collections over the years. Basically, the 1984 version featured six extended & re-mixed versions of songs from The Swing album. For instance the tracks ‘I Send A Message’, ‘Melting In The Sun’ and ‘Burn For You’ were remixed by Nick Launay. Also included was a remix of ‘Original Sin’ by Nile Rogers. Andrew Farriss mixed the track ‘Dancing On The Jetty’. In fact, the song was the album’s fourth single. Not to mention long-time INXS producer Mark Opitz did a rare mix of ‘Love Is (What I Say)’. In particular, there is a bonus seventh song on the original cassette. That Nancy Sinatra/Lee Hazlewood duet ‘Jackson’ covered by INXS. This time performed together with the likes of Jenny Morris duetting with Michael Hutchence.

Dekadance arrives in a heavyweight 180-gram black vinyl. Summing up it features artwork replicated from the ultra-rare 12″ Dekadance promo gifted to Australian Radio stations in 1984. Without delay head here to pre-order the album. Also, do check out the artwork and tracklist below.
