FKA Twigs is working together with Nicolas Jaar for her upcoming new album, Magdalene.
FKA Twigs has given some new details about her upcoming album, Magdalene. She recently did her first interview in three years with i-D magazine. Particularly highlighting that Nicolas Jaar is the central producer on the new record. Also, a track titled “Holy Terrain” will feature Trap artist Future. It is described as a dark, sexy, witchy trap tune. So, the collaboration came about when FKA Twigs got hold of Future’s number and casually dropped him a text.
To explain she says: “I sent him the album and I called him up and was like, ‘Listen, Future… this is what my album’s about. It’s a really empowering, sensitive record, with a lot of feminine energy, and this song is probably the most fun track on it, but I still need lyrical content.’ And he said, ‘Okay, I’ve got it’. And his verse is beautiful.” “
