Tell us a bit more about yourself:

I’m addicted to music. Most of my free time is “spent” with it. I’m always listening to or making music.

What started your interest in music? Is there any interesting story or history behind it?

In a word: Daddy. He loved music and was always playing records and I loved listening to music with him. One interesting story: one day I got home from work and found him listening to music with headphones, his eyes closed, he was really enjoying. When I looked closer, it was my band’s CD. It’s really important to me, to know that he liked my music.

How long have you been collecting?

My mom gave my first record in 1991 when I was 9. A few years later vinyl records disappeared from the shops so I had to resign to the CDs until 2001 when my brother and I started buying used records with our own money.

What does your collection mean to you?

My collection is my baby. And some of my records are my best friends. Sounds weird, but…

What’s your philosophy behind collecting records and how has that evolved since you started collecting up until the present day?

I’m addicted to it, but it’s a healthy addiction.
I can even control myself. Sometimes I spend six or seven months without buying a thing.
And what has evolved?
Well, in the beginning, I just put the needle on the record and that was it.
I remember hearing some distortions and being puzzled because the record was clean.
Now I know that you can adjust your equipment to improve the sound.

Share with us your top 3 records and why?

The hardest one to answer.
My current favorites are:
1) “Epsilon In Malaysian Pale” by the late Edgar Froese of Tangerine Dream.
There’s something in the soundscapes of this album that I just can’t explain. It’s heavenly music.

2) “Music For Films” by Brian Eno. This record is what I call “cozy music”, cos that’s how I feel when I listen to it.

3) “Belonging” by Keith Jarrett.
Jazz is all about improvisation, but to me, on this record, the compositions steals the show.

Any tips for other record collectors out there?

My tip is to the new collectors. Avoid those good looking retro record players. They’re cute, they’re cheap, and they kill your records.
I know there are people who can’t stand this talk of vinyl killers anymore, but I feel I have to warn those who are not aware of it.

It’s my artist page on bandcamp.
I make my own music alone at home.
It’s mostly instrumental stuff, product of my love for krautrock, jazz, ambient music, psychedelia, progressive rock and brazilian sounds.
