‘1999’ Prince’s most successful album gets reissued in extensive box set

‘1999’ Prince’s most successful album gets reissued in an extensive box set. It is scheduled for release on November 29, 2019.

Firstly, the album 1999 is considered to be one of the most iconic and influential double albums in rock history. Prince’s 1999 was a major turning point for the artist’s career. It was a collection of back to back mega hits. Specifically, “Little Red Corvette,” “1999,” and, “Delirious.” 1999 shattered barriers with Prince’s blend of rock, funk, R&B and new wave pop. Additionally, Prince made history by being one of the first black artists to have their videos continuously played on MTV.

The 1999 reissue has been remastered for the very first time. Above all, 35 unreleased tracks from Prince’s vault will be made available. The reissue will be available in three versions. Firstly, the standard remastered edition that includes only the remastered 1999 in both CD and vinyl formats. Secondly, the deluxe edition which features select bonus material over two CDs and four LPs. Thirdly, a super deluxe edition that includes all five CDs, ten LPs, and DVD. So the brand-new DVD contains a previously unreleased concert from the 1999 tour. It was recorded in multi-cam, live at the Houston Summit on December 29, 1982.
